Titanic Exhibitions Extended: A Journey Through History and Humanity

12.06.2024

Both Musealia’s Titanic exhibitions—Titanic. The Human Story in Brisbane and Titanic. The Exhibition in Seattle—have been extended further into 2025, thanks to the incredible response from visitors in both cities.

It is a great honour that Musealia’s first ever exhibition is still able to move audiences around the world. In a year that not only allowed us to keep traveling the world, but to duplicate our exhibition due to its great success, being able to extend our stays in these cities means a lot to us.

What makes these exhibitions truly special is their focus on more than just the historical events surrounding the Titanic. They go beyond the tragedy to explore the personal stories and experiences of those who were aboard. By focusing on the human aspect of Titanic’s legacy, we are able to present a fresh narrative that sheds light on previously untold stories of the passengers and crew.

In keeping with the essence of all our exhibitions, Titanic. The Human Story and Titanic. The Exhibition feature original artifacts, such as personal belongings, letters, and keepsakes recovered from Titanic and her sister ships. These tangible pieces of history establish a direct connection to the individuals who lived through—or tragically perished in—this monumental event. By showcasing the diverse backgrounds and personal histories of those on board, we aim to humanize the tragedy, reminding visitors of the shared experiences that unite us all.

A Milestone for Musealia

The response to these exhibitions has been extraordinary, with over 200,000 visitors in just four months. We are humbled by the way the exhibition has resonated with so many people, and the support we’ve received has been truly inspiring, and deeply grateful for the opportunity to bring Titanic’s history and its human stories to audiences around the world. It’s been an incredible privilege to see how these exhibitions have touched so many people, and we are excited to continue this journey into 2025.

A special thank you to all our visitors who have supported us and shared in this experience, as well as to all of our partners and museums, who make these exhibitions possible, your passion for the Titanic’s legacy allows us to keep sharing these important stories with new audiences across the globe.
