After a 2 month extension, last February 16th Human Bodies closed its doors at the Parque Guanajuato Bicentenario, Mexico. A total of 253.729 visitors attended the exhibition during its 8 month stay, breaking all previous attendance records in the museum.
This marks the first visit of the exhibition to Mexico. In collaboration with the museography department of the Parque Guanajauto Bicentenario, the exhibition was specifically adapted, and a special collaboration with the Universidad Autonoma de Mexico was agreed: for the first time ever, pieces plastinated in Mexico were included in an exhibition.
“The responde of the mexican public has been overwhelming. Our most optimistic forecasts were exceeded. It has been wonderful to share the magic of the exhibition with so many visitors”, stated Luis Ferreiro, Director of Exhibitions in Musealia.
The exhibition is already on its way back to Europe, where it will reopen in April. The city, venue and exact dates will be announced shortly.
